Start with the full path of the water
Treating only the wet spot can move the problem a few feet away. We look at contributing slopes, roof and hard-surface runoff, low areas, nearby structures, and a workable outlet before defining the earthwork.

Water follows elevation. Effective drainage work begins by understanding where runoff starts, how it crosses the property, and where it can discharge without creating another problem. J&S Contracting uses grading and excavation to create practical site-specific improvements.

Treating only the wet spot can move the problem a few feet away. We look at contributing slopes, roof and hard-surface runoff, low areas, nearby structures, and a workable outlet before defining the earthwork.
Swales, surface shaping, channels, and transitions can help guide runoff. The best approach depends on available fall, soil, existing improvements, neighboring property, and how the area needs to be used afterward.
Fast or concentrated flow can wash exposed soil away. Rock, vegetation, slope shaping, and other stabilization measures may be used as part of a plan to slow water and protect the improved area.

How the work moves
We identify visible sources, low points, slopes, structures, and possible discharge paths.
The ground is excavated or regraded to establish the planned direction and transition.
The improved path is finished with the erosion-control measures included in the scope.
Drainage Solutions FAQ
For a site-specific answer, call (918) 720-8125.
Grading can often improve surface drainage when there is a workable path and adequate fall. The correct solution depends on where the water originates, foundation elevations, nearby hard surfaces, and where runoff can safely go.
Our core work is excavation and grading. If a subsurface drain is appropriate, the exact system and installation responsibilities are defined during the estimate and may involve coordination with another trade.
Rock can help armor soil where concentrated water would otherwise erode the surface. Size, depth, fabric, slope, and outlet conditions should be selected for the actual flow path rather than treated as decoration alone.
